The Willow Sewing Pattern Add-on
The Willow Sewing Pattern Add-on
Couldn't load pickup availability
If you already love your Willow pattern, this long puff sleeve add-on is the quickest way to give your tops and dresses a whole new vibe while adding a little extra warmth. The sleeve feels romantic and floaty but still practical, so it’s brilliant for those cooler spring days when you want layers that look lovely and actually keep you comfortable.
This is a PDF add-on pattern and you’ll need the Willow sewing pattern to use it. The sleeve sewing instructions are included in the Willow manual.
I turned my own hacked long sleeve into this add-on after lots of lovely sewists asked for it on Instagram. Now you can recreate that same feminine, swishy sleeve straight from the pattern.
Because Willow works in so many fabrics, the long puff sleeve opens up more design options for different seasons: soft flannel for cosy winter warmth, that extra layer for cool spring days, or a drapey velvet for a special Christmas party dress. If romantic, whimsical handmade pieces are your thing, this add-on will make your Willow garments even more fabulous.
Share your long-sleeve versions with #sewthewillow I can’t wait to see them.

Fabric Requirements
I loved making the Willow dress! The instructions are easy to follow and the techniques are not too difficult. I recommend making a toile of the bodice portion of the dress. Emma recently came out with different cup sizes for the pattern, I used the D-cup version and it turned out great. The only mod I made was adding an inch to the length of the bodice. I made the sleeveless midi dress version.
I'm already planning a sleeved, knee-length Willow dress next!
Very easy to follow instructions & a variety of options that make this a very versatile pattern. Will definitely be making multiple garments using this!
Great pattern, easy to follow
