Ohhh you’re going to have so much fun with Fearne. This size-inclusive sewing pattern lets you mix and match everything… neckline, sleeves, hem length, hem style… and you can sew her in woven or knit fabric. She's basically like your own personal pick ’n’ mix counter. Want a woven bodice with knitted cuffs and a cozy knit waistband? Go for it.
If you’re newer to sewing, the tie-front version is a dream. It's such a lovely, gentle place to start and when you’re ready to level up, the button-front option and the binding sleeve hem give you a little nudge into trickier sewing techniques. And if you’ve been wanting to dip your toes into sewing with knits, this is the pattern to do it with. The relaxed fit takes the pressure off, so you can just enjoy the process.
One of my favourite parts? The clever “order of sewing” flowchart inside the instructions. It walks you through which steps to take depending on the variation you’ve chosen, so you never feel lost or overwhelmed. You just follow the path, sew your version, and voilà.
Fabric-wise, she works well with fabrics that have plenty of drape. Go soft and breezy with a light cotton lawn for summer, snuggly with a medium-weight jersey for a cardigan-style top, or full glam with a drapey velvet for that classic “jeans and a nice top” vibe. She’s a true year-round, transitional sewing pattern you’ll make over and over again.

Fabric Requirements
This is the first time I’ve made a shirt and on my first attempt it went really well! The directions are easy to read with pictures that help. It’s also easy to customize your shirt. I made just a short sleeve with 3 sets of ties and it was a breeze! Definitely worthwhile.
Vert easy to follow instructions. I often need to shorten sleeves in my size, but this one was the perfect length (long sleeve version).
So far so good. I haven’t sewn my blouse yet, but the instructions I read seem organized and well done. The whole printing process and the piecing together is well organized, the pattern was easy to put together. I can’t wait to make the blouse.
Instructions clear and easy, loved the pattern and all the options
