The size-inclusive Willow sewing pattern has been designed with ultimate comfort in mind, a garment that moves with your body and expands with your tummy (hello fellow bloaters!). It has many variations and can be made as a top, mini dress, knee length dress or midi dress. With a choice of sleeveless, puff sleeve or fluted sleeve, the possibilities are endless! All versions have a high neckline and a mid-scoop back. The front bodice features bust darts and side ties that pull the dress in to create shape around the waist. The back bodice includes a flat felled seam down the centre. Bias binding is used to finish the neckline and armholes (if opting for the sleeveless version). Finally, this pattern includes generous inseam pockets and a secret inside pocket, especially designed to carry a crystal for those manifesting, mystical sewists out there!

There are no zips or buttons on this pattern so it's great for beginners. It is the perfect all-year-round, transitional sewing pattern that will see you through all seasons. Make in a gingham seersucker for the ultimate beach look, try in a heavier checked flannel for wintery days or go all out and make in a soft velvet for the ultimate Christmas party dress! If romantic, whimsical, and feminine dresses are your thing then this pattern is for you!
Sewing Level: Beginner
Size Range: From B76cm (30”), W61cm (24”), H86cm (34”) to B150cm (59”), W134.5cm (53”), H160cm (63”). Each size is given a generic letter, so we don’t make meaning out of the number we cut.
Height: This pattern has been drafted for someone who is 165cm (5’5”) tall. You may want to shorten or lengthen the bodice and sleeve pieces where indicated.
Recommended Fabrics: This pattern is ideal for light to medium weight, non-stretch woven fabric such as viscose, linen, shirting, cotton lawn, jacquard, velvet, gingham, tencel etc. Structured fabric like cotton lawn will have more dramatic volume on the puff sleeve and fluid fabrics like viscose will have more drape for the flute sleeve.
Notions: Thread, 0.6cm (¼”) elastic for the hem of the puff sleeve and binding.
